Ground transfer options at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) are plentiful and all arriving passengers should be able to find a mode of transport that is suitable for transporting them to their onward destination.

The new rapid transport rail service is a convenient and speedy option, while public bus services provide cheap and reliable connections with the city.

Taxis offer more comfort and convenience at a higher cost, while for those with an unlimited budget, limousines can be hired for airport pick ups.

Travel by Buses
A 24 hour express bus service connects the airport with Moscow; the service stops outside Terminal 1 and at the bus station at Terminal 2, Arrivals. Alternatively, public bus services numbers 551 and 517 run to Rechnoi Vokzal and Planernaya metro station respectively. A coach service also operates between the airport and Moscow Central Air Terminal.

Travel by Shuttle Buses
The public bus services described above are the only buses running from Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO). There are no additional shuttle bus services in operation.

Travel by Hotel Shuttles Buses
Moscow's big hotels such as the Gamma-Delta Izmailovo, Ukraina, Cosmos and the Aerotel Domodedovo all provide airport transfers for guests staying at their establishments. Passengers are recommended to check with their travel agent about transfers at the time of booking or to contact the hotel directly prior to travelling to ensure a pick up service is available.

Travel by Trains
A rapid transit system provides rail connections between the airport and Leningrad Station in the city of Moscow. From Leningrad Station, connections can be made to St Petersburg.

Travel by Taxi Cabs
Taxi ranks are situated outside of the Arrivals halls of both terminals for journeys to Moscow and beyond. Passengers might be tempted to take cabs from hawkers, but visitors are advised to join the queue and take a metered taxi.
